20 in-depth interviews with Academic Library Movers and Shakers

Ahead of National Library Week next week, we thought we’d share some ways to shake things up in your library! Sponsored by SAGE, Library Journal recently published a collection of in-depth interviews from its 2014 Academic Movers and Shakers honorees, individuals whose leadership has impacted the library environment in exciting ways. The collection also includes a sheet of library leadership ‘top tips’ from the honorees.

Of these 20 Academic Movers, no two are alike. Working with libraries in community colleges, liberal arts colleges and larger research universities, the Academic Movers enlist their unique perspectives and expertise to answer questions about their diverse achievements in instructional librarianship, data management, archival preservation and digitization of rare library treasures, among others.

In their interviews, honorees also take on current topics, such as incorporating new technological tools in the library, student perception of libraries and managing libraries in developing worlds.
