Librarians – is there a member of your staff working in development or a volunteer that you’d like to reward for making your library great? If so, the United for Libraries/SAGE Academic Friend Conference Grant gives you the chance to send him or her to the ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco!
“Academic libraries are successful not only because of their dedicated librarians, but also because of the hard-working library staff and volunteers that support their efforts,” said Ed McBride, executive director of library sales at SAGE and United for Libraries president elect. “SAGE is dedicated to supporting the academic library and is delighted to give two library supporters the opportunity to attend an ALA conference for the first time.”

The United for Libraries/SAGE Academic Friend Conference Grant will enable two first-time conference attendees to attend the 2015 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco. Applicants must be active in their college or university Friends of the Library group, or academic library staff members who work in development. A grant of $850, plus full ALA Annual Conference registration, will be awarded to each recipient.
