Take a look a these 12 Examples of Library Marketing Excellence

We are delighted to share with you the twelve winners of the 2013 Charleston Photo Contest! For this year’s contest, entrants were asked to photographically share with us any efforts that they are making to market their libraries. First-place winner, Laksamee Putnam, Research and Instruction Librarian from Towson University, will receive a travel grant for the 2014 Charleston Conference valued at more than $1,000 and the eleven second-place winners have each received a $50 Amazon gift card. Additionally, all twelve winners will have their photographs featured in the 2013 Charleston Conference desk calendar given to all conference attendees.

How does Laksamee feel about winning the contest?

“I am eagerly looking forward to attending the Charleston Conference in 2014, especially after looking through the program for previous years. Thanks so much to SAGE for making it possible. As an early career academic librarian, the opportunity to network and apply the knowledge from this conference toward my tenure is invaluable,”she stated. “This photograph and the marketing campaign it represents would not have been possible without the amazing team of people I work with on our library marketing committee. I hope I can emerge from my experience with fresh ideas to help make our library outreach even better!”
