50 years of Social Science Information

On Friday 21st October 2011, friends of and contributors to Social Science Information gathered at the Maison Suger in Paris to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the journal. The Journal Editor, Anne Rocha Perazzo, led the proceedings by introducing the double special issue, published in September 2011, dedicated to 50 years of publishing SSI.

Speakers included Professor Michel Wieviorka, Director of the FMSH and Professor at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Stephen Barr, Managing Director of SAGE, Saadi Lahlou, Director of the Institute of Social Psychology, London School of Economics, Claude Fischler, Director of the Centre Edgar Morin, EHESS, Peter Wagner, University of Barcelona, Kerry Barner, Senior Publishing Editor at SAGE and a wonderful video produced by Valery Nosulenko and Elena Samoylenko from the Institute of Psychology, Russian Academy of Sciences.
