SAGE and Corwin recently attended the American Educational Research Association’s (AERA) annual meeting in New Orleans to help connect with our audiences and continue our relationship with the AERA. SAGE publishes the journals of AERA and also publishes relevant textbooks in the field of education and research methods, as well as some popular handbooks. With more than 13,000 attendees from across the globe, SAGE was able to meet and greet our authors, journal editors and customers.
One great opportunity to do so was at the reception that SAGE and Corwin hosted for our authors. More than 125 authors and their guests attended to mingle and share the trials and triumphs of the writing process. One author, who was not attending the conference, drove more than 90 minutes to have a chance to chat with fellow SAGE and Corwin authors.
AERA provided SAGE with a great opportunity to interact with our authors and journal editors, as well as an opportunity to touch base with the many faculty who use our content to teach others. What kinds of author gatherings do you like to attend? How do you like to interact with your publisher?
Thanks to those who attended the reception or visited the SAGE or Corwin booths in those four days. We appreciate your work, your passion and your feedback.
