New literacy journal joins SAGE

We are delighted to have been chosen by the Literacy Research Association this year to publish Journal of Literacy Research (JLR), its official journal.  The Literacy Research Association is a professional organization for individuals who share an interest in research and the dissemination of information about literacy and literacy instruction.

“We are excited to be working with SAGE to publish the Journal of Literacy Research,” said Tom Bean, Literacy Research Association Publications Chair. “SAGE has a long history of excellence in social science publishing and we’re happy to now be a part of that.”

Previously published as the Journal of Reading Behavior, the quarterly JLR was launched in 1969 and has grown steadily in recent years. It is currently ISI ranked among the top Educational Research and Educational Psychology journals. Joining the SAGE journal family means that the journal is now available through SAGE Journals Online (http://jlr.sagepub.com) and authors can now submit articles for review through SAGE Track.

A partnership with the LRA is important to SAGE since they have a strong history of providing top quality literacy research and SAGE has a core mission to support education and learning.
