Special Issue: Humanities and the Liberal University: Calls to Action and Exemplary Essays
The Humanities have much to offer 21st-century Europe, in terms of both method and issues which may complement and correct those of Science and Social Science. This special issue offers exemplary essays advocating, illuminating, illustrating and reflecting on what the Humanities are for and what they do and should do in the Liberal University. This issue brings together many different voices, from those changing the frontiers of their disciplines whether the most senior of professors or the newest New Voice to those reflecting, as prominent university teachers, on their own teachers and mentors.
